The EFT Tapping Points: A Simple Guide

Learn the standard EFT tapping sequence and how to move through it without worrying about perfect technique.

The standard EFT sequence uses a small number of points on the face and upper body. You tap them gently with two or three fingertips while focusing on a chosen issue.

A common tapping sequence

Begin at the side of the hand, then move to the eyebrow, side of the eye, under the eye, under the nose, chin, collarbone, under the arm and top of the head.

Use a light, comfortable pressure. Five to ten taps on each point is enough, but exact counting is unnecessary. The purpose is not perfect performance; it is maintaining a steady rhythm while noticing your internal response.

What should you say?

Use a short reminder phrase such as “this worry,” “the tight feeling in my chest,” or “the conversation tomorrow.” Adjust the words if the feeling changes.

A simple sequence practised calmly is often more useful than trying to remember every detail perfectly.
